The Green Energy Finance Specialist for Small Scale Projects is 5-month advanced online training program designed to strengthen expertise in financing small-scale renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.

Commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety under the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and implemented in partnership with IFC’s Alliance for Green Commercial Banks (IFC-AGCB), the programme combines theory with hands-on practice to support the global energy transition.

The training is designed for finance professionals, bankers, and investors, as well as renewable energy analysts, energy consultants, and policymakers or members of regulatory bodies seeking to deepen their expertise in green energy finance. Participants who successfully complete the programme receive an internationally accredited energy finance certificate and qualify for an in-person seminar to be held in Jakarta in the third quarter of 2026. The programme is fully funded through a scholarship.

Applications open from 26 January to 23 February 2026, with the training running from 1 April to the end of September 2026.
