Indonesia stands at a pivotal moment in its journey towards achieving net-zero emission by 2060, or sooner. The industrial sector, which contributes 34% of national greenhouse gas emissions, plays a crucial role in the shift towards a low-carbon economy. However, the adoption of low-carbon technology in industry is often hindered by the absence of information, limited funding, and low technical capacity.  

To accelerate decarbonization and energy transition in the industrial sector, the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with the German government through the GIZ implemented Sustainable Energy Transition in Indonesia (SETI) and its project consortium partners (WRI, IESR, CERAH), held a seminar aimed at identifying opportunities for decarbonization and energy transition. The seminar focused on how to identify energy-saving opportunities through energy audit and pre-feasibility studies, explored various low-carbon technologies, and outlined the next stages of the SETI project following the company registration process, including information about the Sustainable Energy Network (SEN). 
 
The seminar was attended by 39 companies, technology providers, government, and development partner. Speakers from Schneider Electric talking about Energy Management Software and Hardware, from Xurya Daya informing about Rooftop & Ground Mounted Photovoltaic under a No-Initial-Cost Scheme, as well as SES representative talking about high-efficient Waste Heat Recovery, Boiler & Steam Systems, as well as Chiller & Cooling appliances.
