Energy audits play a crucial role in identifying opportunities for improving energy efficiency, reducing operational costs, and supporting sustainability goals within the industrial sector. Through systematic analysis of energy usage patterns, equipment performance, and process efficiency, energy audits provide a detailed assessment of how energy is consumed and where inefficiencies occur. In alignment with national energy conservation policies, SETI has undertaken comprehensive energy audits in five industrial facilities in 5 factories across Java during May 2025 – September 2025.
The level 2 audit, conducted by certified energy auditors, assessed major energy-consuming systems including electrical distribution, motors, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), boilers, chillers, compressed air systems, and lighting. Results were discussed with managing/ board of directors for implementation.
SETI supported those energy audits to seek potential energy savings. The results were also shared among other related industry stakeholders to encourage replication and share insights among industrial sector peers.
The result of energy audit will be the reference of energy savings in the companies. Total annual GHG emission reduction potential is 21,706 tCO2e and annual electricity saving potential is 11.6 GWh. Recommendations are categorised from no/low investment to high investments, such as equipment replacement (boilers, chillers, compressors, pump system, motor system).
