Building on the momentum of climate risk awareness, WWF-Indonesia is working to promote nature-related disclosures, helping companies and financial institutions (FIs) understand and integrate nature-related risks and opportunities into their operations.
From December 11th-13th, WWF-Indonesia, in collaboration with the United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC) in Indonesia, Global Canopy, Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI), UNEP-FI, and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), organized 3-day workshop targeting three key stakeholder groups:
- Financial Institutions
- One Principal and its supply chain partners
- Public listed companies:
The workshop provided participants with practical tools and frameworks. It started with WWF highlighting the importance of integrating nature into business operations. Following that, a representative from the TNFD secretariat provided an overview of the TNFD framework. Global Canopy introduced ENCORE tools to identify dependencies and impacts, while WWF’s Risk Filter team presented tools and facilitated hands-on sessions for risk assessment using Risk Filter Suite. PT PLN, Indonesia’s first TNFD adopter, shared its experience alongside panelists from IAI, IDX, and WWF-Indonesia, encouraging wider adoption of nature-related disclosures.
